Colored Girls Collection

Hello ladies and gents!

It has been ages and no I haven't quit blogging yet. I thank God I've actually been working on orders by various clients.  Trust me taking it from a hobby to a part time job is no joke but for God's grace.

Here is a little wall art collection I finished recently while trying my hands on the silhouette technique. I LOVE it! It was inspired by the Tyler Perry movie 'For Colored Girls' and the Chibok Girl students still in captivity. I pray everyday for their release. I'm going to be using this technique for custom portraits orders which I belive everyone should have a piece of.

In other news I'm going to be enrolled in the National Youth Service program soon so stay tuned for awesome art and pictures from adventures inspired by my beloved country. Well wishes and prayers are highly appreciated. I love you all who take a bit out of time to check out my blog. God bless you all!

The Emerald Country of Nigeria

Hello beautiful people!

It is the 30th of September (as I write this post) and while having my evening read of Chude Jideonwo's 'Are We The Turning Point Generation?' I realise its Nigeria's 54th Independence Day tomorrow. At this point my mind wanders into a comparison of two lands in their quest for prosperity at all social levels.

On one hand, most people would know the story of the 'Wizard of Oz' and like most fables it carries a real-life scenario into fantasy. On the other hand, Nigeria, though a land full of opportunities, suffers plagues of violence, manipulations and corruption just like the Emerald City of Oz. All these can also be attributed to the antagonist of the Oz story; the Wicked Witch of the West.

But back to real life, at what point would Nigeria truly transform and take its place in the world? No one can certainly say but we must do what we can to aid the transformation we seek. I hope I'm not sounding like a broken record but I'd close with a saying from an apostle of change in Nigeria; Chude Jideonwo...

"We should not let what should be stop us from achieving what can be"

Happy Independence Day Nigeria!!

Now in other non-partisan talk, my look here is simply a play at 50 shades of grey but with a hint of emerald green just to be a little patriotic! Lol

What ways are you inkorporating green to your outfits?

Stay Haute,
Sir Binna.
