Yemi Alade's Ghen Ghen Love!! The Making...

Hey people!
How's the week been?

I've resumed school for another semester & i'm already swamped with workload. Anyhoo I really enjoyed my Industrial Training period because i got two things; no school work for a while & more time to work in fashion.

Speaking of fashion one of the things i achieved was styling my first video shoot for Yemi Alade's Ghen Ghen Love single!

New Look: No church...in the wild!

Hello people

I hope your week is going great?!

I have a little something for you all; it is an illustration inspired by a couple of things.

Monday 30 July 2012

Set that 'P'!......PATTERN , PLAIN or PRINT!!

Hey people, how you doing?
I'm not being a good blogger, right? Yea, i know. :(
I'm juggling a couple of things (no thanks to Lagos traffic :p) God dey sha!!

Anyway, i think its been an amazing month, so where do i start from? Is it the blessed weather (except when it rains) that makes me envious of boys & girls in Vivienne Westwood footwear? Be it original or copied. The same weather reminds me everyday that i need those rubber soles, as much as i dislike the way Nigerian youth have taken to abuse them. *sigh*

Lets leave that story for another day.

The month of July also gave us the 20th edition of my favourite Nigerian fashion magazine; Complete Fashion. It has Ghanian actor; Van Vicker & Nigerian actress; Nse Ikpe-Etim on the covers.

This edition has so many goodies, especially the trends of the season; PATTERNS, PLAINS & PRINTS!!
There are so many ways to rock these trends & Complete Fashion gives the complete guide to pulling off these looks. Its definetely a must have. Check out some looks you could try out.

So lemme know what you think & dont hesitate to ask any questions. For the ladies, here's a look from Katie Perry which you could try out.

Note the simple rule of prints/patterns is this: pair it with something plain or toned down so you dont end up looking like a toddlers painting. lol, till next time

stay haute...

DON'T JUDGE A BOOK.....

Hello people,

Welcome to the Fantom Diaries.
I hope it isn't so obvious that this is my very first attempt at writing, talk less of blogging (which i wonder why it took so long though) *covers face*. Anyhow, this is an exclusive pass into the mind (a place i like to call the Opera house) of a very reserved guy. Please note this is a lifestyle blog & i would try to cover all spheres of life *fingers crossed*.

 here goes...

INTRODUCTIONS? (pls view my profile...)

*now listening to Frank Ocean - Strawberry swing*

Being the first day of July (as at when i wrote this...ooh happy new month by the way) and also the beginning of the second half of the year, I'm sure we all have so many expectations & goals. Anyways, I wouldnt want to take much of your time considering you might have some reflecting to do; but I would like to leave you with a little something i got inspired from in church, which you can also add to your food for thought.

I AM GOSSIP

My name is Gossip.
I have no respect for justice.
I break hearts & ruin lives.
I am cunning, malicious & gather strength with age.

The more I am quoted, the more I am believed.
I flourish at every level of society.
My victims are helpless.
They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name & no face.

To track me down is impossible.
The harder you try, the more elusive I become.
I am nobody's friend.
Once i tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.

I topple governments and wreck marriages.
I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartaches and indigestion.
I spawn suspicion and generate grief.
I make innocent people cry in their pillows

Even my name hisses.
I make headlines and headaches.
I am called Gossip. Office gossip - Shop gossip - Party gossip - Telephone gossip.
This is who I am.

Interesting right? So the next time you want to say something about anyone, stop and THINK!

T - is it true?
H - is it helpful?
I - is it inspiring?
N - is it necessary?
K - is it kind?

I'd leave you now to think this through, but before i go here is a picture (from an advertorial which i shall share with you soonest) of me playing a tune to the poem above in my Opera house *lol*

See you soon.
With love from the Opera...
