Viva Forever!

Hello peeps!

January has been quite a trip so far because I was exiled off all forms of social media for a couple of weeks! But I'm still alive, ain't I?!

Anyways lets fly over over to the UK for a bit as I came across some news of a certain British pop girl group. If you grew up in the 90's or prior you'd definitely have heard of the Spice Girls consisting of Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell & Melanie Chisholm. They were in the news sometime last year for a special reunion performance at the closing ceremony of the Euro 2012 Olympics.

The Spice Girls performing at the Olympic games closing ceremony...

...and what I think they should have worn instead!

In more recent times the girl band is the inspiration of a stage musical titled 'Viva Forever' which opened at the Piccadilly Theatre on the 11th of December 2012. It is based on the songs of the Spice Girls and features some of the group's biggest hit songs including "Wannabe", "Spice Up Your Life" and the eponymous "Viva Forever".

The critical response though is nothing to sing home about and if i must say, neither is their ability to synchronise their outfits. All their group appearances last year have left a funny taste in the mouths of fans across the globe who have admired them for so long. The spice girls I knew and watched portrayed individualism in the most synchronised way. That is not the case here at the red carpet theatre premiere of the musical...

urgh!

This is definitely the worst i have seen! It's like one arrived from the Grammy's, one from a cocktail party, one from a wedding, one from a business meeting...ahn ahn! Even if they don't get along anymore their stylists should have tried for the fans! I'm guessing that must be their little trade secret to give folks a lil' something to talk about!

Rumour has it that a reunion album might be in the works! Who knows? I just hope they have the style department sorted!

stay haute!
